He particularly like the detailed maps and the colour coded sections so you can find anything you want very quickly

Scotland’s North Coast 500 (NC500) is the 516-mile (830 km) scenic route around the north coast of Highlands of Scotland that starts and ends at Inverness Castle.


The route takes in attractions, from Dunrobin Castle and the Glenmorangie Distillery to the towering Duncansby Stacks, Smoo Cave, the Knockan Crag National Nature Reserve and the British mainland's most Northerly point.
